"Memories are always beautiful, but you can't live on them alone. It's true that tonight should be lonely, but I wonder what's with me... cause I can't even remember his smile..." -Judy and Mary, "Freckles" Daaaaaa, such a nice Easter!!! We went to Betsy's for dinner (Ian picked me up, cause it's a bit too far to walk), and had a lovely time hunting for Easter eggs and stuffing ourselves with ham (aggressively Christian, we... we likes our cloven-hoofed beasts), cheesy potatoes, cinnamon-glazed carrots and all manner of confectionary delight for dessert. On the drive home, I learned that a really attractive guy of my acquaintance is interested in me... and although I'm still nominally with Curtis, we're sort of fizzling... so this might be a good time to try someone new. :) This is hell week. I'm studying for my parasites exam tomorrow (and whatever happens, I'm at least better prepared now than I was last Thursday, so I'll have to be content with that), I have an immuno exam this coming Thursday, and a Journal Club presentation that day as well. Then on Friday, I'm presenting some data in our lab meeting, which is informal, but a little scary. Fortunately, I've already gotten praise from Barbara for the way I conduct myself in meetings (ie, the question-asking and such), so that bolsters my confidence a little. Not to mention my new lab's insane work schedule... and I'll probably have to see tomorrow about taking some time out to just study during the day. Eeee. I'll just be so glad when this week is over. |
