Sleepy ranting about intolerance. :)
I think a really irritating thing about people is that they assume that if others were just a little kinder, more enlightened, more intelligent, etc, then those people would believe exactly what they do. They don't allow room for two intelligent but divergent opinions... THEY know what's right, and everyone else must be stupid, crazy, bloodthirsty, cold or some other accusatively derogatory adjective if they think differently. For heaven's sake, whatever happened to tolerance and respect for your fellow human beings? Give us a little bit of credit... I don't vote Republican because I'm rich and cold-hearted and want to destroy other countries to "get their oil", nor am I a mindless drooling idiot who "buys into the right-wing propaganda". I'm a thinking person, apparently quite a bright one if my academic credentials are any indication, and I don't think people who disagree with me are evil or idiotic either... I think they've looked at the facts and have come to a different conclusion than I have. That's OKAY. We can disagree without hating each other, can't we?
In other news, this week has been extremely busy and fun, and this weekend looks to be just the same. Yay! Happy weekend!
