At least all this has got to be making me smarter... I'm the world's best procrastinator!!!!! It's 6:30 on a Sunday night, and I have papers that have to be graded by tomorrow (about 2/3 done, but they're in my office so I'll have to run and get them), a potential pop quiz in my protein chemistry course (I'm mostly prepared, but have to make sure I know a few more structures), JC presentation on Thursday (reading thru the article now, taking notes on the figures, but have to think about what questions folks might ask plus make all the overheads) and the vivisection lab tomorrow (for which I'm properly apprehensive, since two out of three rats died just in practice on Friday, from pulmonary embolism and a sliced carotid, respectively, and I'm afraid I'll forget how to set up the respirator or use those clamp-y thingies on the arteries for the kids under pressure, hence why I'm not a surgeon). Plus, if Judy and Matthias get back to me, I may have a committee meeting this week. Blah! :P To my credit, I'm doing marvelously on my new resolution to spend two hours a day on working out or reading articles... if I only work out for a half hour, I read articles for an hour and a half, and vice versa, although ideally I'd like an hour of each. Isn't that a good plan? :) |
